Wow!! That's awesome! I'm sure it may be a little intimidating, but you're up to it and it won't be long until it is all old hat.
Good on ya!
That is awesome. Did you know I used to work at NRL? I was a gov't employee though. Another coincidence is that I got a call from ITT for an interview this week, although it's out in Herndon.
I think you'll probably love it there*. Security clearance will definately be nice to have for the future. Are you working for the main IS division, or are for one of the other groups? *Until July/August, that is, when the smell from the sewage plant next door really kicks it up a notch.
Candleman: Thanks! It's becoming slightly less intimidating already.
Rob: I may have known that in the past, now that you mention in. The main office for the AES division of ITT is in Herndon. I hear that the stench in the summer is something awful. It's not great now if the wind's blowing the right way. Is NRL where your flickr avatar comes from? I work for the Center for Computational Sciences, not for the main IS division.
Ta-Da! Way to go, just in time to ditch out on the "at-home" list, how convenient...... Congrats!
Congrats! The husband used to work for ITT, based out of Dulles, and he really enjoyed it. Getting the security clearance really is kind of a golden ticket for this area -- so many places you can go.
