I'll be your friend. I love Netflix. I didn't know about the box thing but I probably wouldn't get it. I think only three of the movies in my queue are instantly watchable.
Thanks, Cassie. I don't have any instantly watchable ones either, but I browsed through that section and there's a lot of stuff. I think it'd be worth it. Also, I could let the kids use it and not have to get any dvds for them
I've thought about doing this as well. I haven't yet canceled my cable or signed up for Netflix, but it is a real possibility for me (seems like a good way to save some money).
I've got a couple friends who say they're a lot happier without TV. We'll see, I guess. I'm not sure how happy I'll be when the new shows start in the fall again. I may have to resort to downloading them.
That's a good point. I can't miss Heroes...it's a good thing it's available online.
Hmmm. Maybe I should think about signing up for Netflix. I don't watch a lot of movies, so I've never considered it before, but if they have PBS shows, it may be worth the investment. I'm addicted to PBS; it's almost all I watch on TV nowadays. And there have been some shows on that I really wanted to watch but couldn't, so it would be cool if I could get them through Netflix.
Hmmm. Something to think about. My coworker and her family (three teenagers!) just got rid of TV. The kids are going through withdrawals, but my coworker says it's been nice because they spend more time as a family.
There's categories for PBS & PBS Documentaries.
I just added the HBO John Adams miniseries (with Paul Giamatti as Adams) that I've heard is excellent. Add Comment
