Haven't read it myself, but I thought I'd mention it. Seems like an obvious suggestion:
Economics for Dummies
How funny...I actually thought about naming this entry 'Economics for Dummies'.
Depends how theoretical or applied you want to get. I recommend two things:
(1) Visit university's web sites and hunt down a syllabus for an advanced (undergrad) economics class. If you start with intro you'll be bored out of your mind and you'll be told to read from a poorly written textbook. (2) Communicate with me directly.
well, (2) sounds so distasteful that I guess I'll have to try (1).
just kidding. do you mean to discuss economics with you directly, or that you have some suggestions that you aren't willing to post for some reason? I'm not sure where on the theoretical/applied continuum I'd want.
No, I'd post them, but I figured I'd first communicate with you to get an idea of what you are looking for, then go home and hunt down some, and then send you a list.
Actually _elinda's dad is an econ professor at the University of MD. I can prolly ask her to ask him for suggestions.
